Amargo is a passionate and highly qualified Registered Dietitian (RD) and ISSA Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with a wealth of experience spanning over a decade in the health and wellness industry. Amargo holds a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Science, complemented by a minor in Public Health, showcasing a well-rounded education in the field. Her journey began as a personal trainer which built the foundation of working with clients and seeing the ability she had to connect with them. Her commitment to health and well-being led Amargo to various roles and experiences, shaping a unique and extensive professional profile.

Amargo initially started in community nutrition with the Food Bank of NJ. Here, the focus was on SNAP education, where she conducted engaging cooking classes and nutrition education sessions for both youth and adults. This early exposure laid the foundation for Amargos ability to connect with diverse populations and communicate effectively on health and nutrition topics.
Having successfully completed the NY-Presbyterian dietetic internship, the journey continued into clinical settings where she worked in a hospital setting, addressing a wide range of patient needs. A distinctive aspect of her experience includes working on the behavioral health unit which is where her passion for this population grew. In addition to hospital settings, Amargo has contributed valuable insights and care in skilled nursing facilities, further expanding the scope of expertise. This diverse background uniquely positions Amargo to relate to and understand the varied needs of different populations.
Being a part of the queer community, Amargo brings a nuanced perspective to health concerns that this community often faces. This firsthand understanding enhances Amargo's ability to provide personalized and inclusive healthcare, contributing to a more supportive and empathetic healthcare environment.
Beyond the professional realm, Amargo is an individual with a vibrant personality and a multitude of interests. In free time, she enjoys singing, dancing, lifting weights, painting, playing basketball, and exploring new vegan restaurants. This commitment to personal well-being and a balanced lifestyle reflects her belief in the holistic approach to health. Amargo has extensive knowledge, diverse experiences, and a genuine passion for making individuals feel heard and understood.
